Biography

A sound reminiscent of a cracked whip through the miasma of pop music brings the Blue Eyed Gunslingers (BEG). Featuring Curtis Sauber on guitar, Salvatore Porchia on bass, Joel Chastain on drums, and the vocals of Casey Ward. BEG carries influences from bands such as Radiohead, the Strokes, the Doors and Tool. The music itself is defined through an aggressive mix of raw haunting rock mingled with traces of jazz and blues.

BEG has found that their music composition relies mainly on a large cooperative effort, which allows for the truly unique sounds and fused styles that define it. Boasting prompt song construction, the music of BEG nearly writes itself, showing the unity through hardship the members share. BEG has always stressed the significance of their fans and listeners to interpret the songs in their own way.

BEG formed in 2005 amidst a storybook like romance of tragedy, passion, and a common need to rise above in the aftermath of a near fatal car accident involving Ward. At this same time Porchia and Sauber were working together when a conversation sparked the idea of creating a new musical group. Once Ward was released from the hospital, Porchia brought Chastain into the mix. The first practice sparked notions of a venerable relationship to come. As their stage show is progressing and word of mouth begins to bolster their position in the public eye; BEG is working tirelessly to produce their first EP, "La fée verte."
